An interesting synopsis of the questions on behavioural standards that have dogged the online vampworld since its inception. Perhaps the key is not in “punishing” but rather in dis-empowering. Instead of trying to apply some strictures or “rules” perhaps the action should be to completely ignore and NOT respond to the bad behaviour thereby not giving the perpetrator any sense of accomplishment, achievement or “jollies”.

There are some who do it gratuitously, then there are some who do it for a particular purpose ~ a fine line between troublemakers in general and agent provocateurs ~ either way, ignore the unwanted and, in the majority of cases, it will go away.
